Role Details:

• Full time on site
• Inside IR35
• £35 P/H
• 12-months contract

About the Role:

The Energy Division at ARM is currently seeking a Rigging Operativeto join a Leading Nuclear Civil Engineering and Solutions Provider.

Key responsibilities include:

• Participate in the planning and preparation of lifting activities.
• Safely carry out lifting activities in accordance with the relevant Safe Systems of Work using recognised best practice, applicable trade and Company standards.
• Carry out pre and post use checks on lifting equipment to ensure that it is safe to use, undamaged, registered and in date.
• Carry out Point of Work Lifting Assessments and Behavioural Safety Observations.
• Not to undertake work unless they are competent (and authorised) to do so and have received an appropriate pre-job brief from the Lifting Supervisor.
• Comply with all Company and Customer procedures, site rules, and instructions.
• Not to proceed past a hold point until authorised to do so.
• Ensure that workplaces remain clean and tidy before, during and after work tasks.
• Immediately report any unplanned events, defects, damage, safety hazards or other problems to the Lifting Supervisor.
• Apply good practice principles such as the Human Performance Error Reduction tools; STAR, Peer Check, Questioning Attitude etc.
• Engage with and adopt the principles of Company initiatives such as "People Who Do The Right Thing"
• Carry out other task/duties, commensurate with the Role Holder's competency, as directed by the Lifting Supervisor.

What do you need to succeed?

Academic Requirements

Recognised Training Scheme or Apprenticeship with appropriate Construction Plant Competency Scheme (CPCS) Slinger/Signaller A40 (or NVQ equivalent).

Specific Requirements

CCNSG Safety Passport Experience

Valid Forklift Licence

Demonstrable experience covering a wide range of rigging activities.
