We have an exciting position available for a Sports Coach- Rise Gymnastics. This role will be based within the Gymnastic Development Teams The classes will take place during the day, evenings and weekends at various locations across Salford.
We are looking to appoint someone who has a strong background in gymnastics and has significant experience in delivering sessions to different abilities in a variety of settings. The successful candidate will work alongside the Gymnastics Development Officer to be mentored and trained to be able to deliver a new and exciting programme from British Gymnastics- RISE Gymnastics. A background and understanding of Gymnastics is desirable, however a wiliness to learn, attend mentoring and training to be able to deliver the fundamental principles of movement and gymnastics is essential. You will also be asked to work on gymnastic events, activities and sessions as required by the Gymnastics Development Teams.
We are looking for someone who:
- Will deliver high-quality Rise Gymnastics sessions to a wide range of participants, in a variety of settings. You may also be asked to teach lessons in other genres of dance. The sessions may be delivered during day- time, evening and occasional weekends as required.
- Will attend mentoring and training with the Gymnastics Development Officer to deliver RISE Gymnastics and to attend the Gymnastics Activity Instructors course in February 2023.
- To ensure that all the activities undertaken at the gymnastics sessions, activities, events, or exams are appropriate for the ages and abilities of the participants.
- To ensure the health and safety of participants, team members and others during the class, event, or activity.
- Consistently demonstrates SCL’s behaviours.
Formal interviews will take place from Monday 22 January. If you are successful at the formal interview stage, you will be invited to attend a practical interview on Thursday 1 February.
