Role: Risk and Fraud Analyst

As a Risk and Fraud Analyst, you will be responsible for helping to minimize online fraud and abuse, and to ensure that genuine customers’ activity is not affected. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to help to develop and improve our internal fraud engine.

Responsibilities:

• Work to ensure that the business fraud cost is kept to an optimal level, whilst minimising the impact on genuine customers.
• Identify, investigate, and document fraud/abuse trends and patterns via the daily manipulation of large data sets.
• Review incoming chargebacks with the Chargeback team and provide risk assessment.
• Monitor merchants activities, analyse their fraud ratio and implement necessary velocity rules.

Requirements:

• Experience on gaming/gambling/FX/crypto merchants card processing is essential
• Min. 1-2 years experience within similar role in Financial Institution, preferably card processing firm
• Relevant work experience in card and payments fraud prevention / risk compliance function is preferred
• Ability to gain confidence of senior management and challenge the status quo, as
• appropriate
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Organised and consistent in ensuring key deliverables are met on time
• Previous experience in a counter fraud or AML role
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to build instant customer rapport
• A willingness to embrace change and help drive the team forward
• Proactivity with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues
• The ability to manage and prioritise your own caseload and work independently
• A real team player happy to support those around you
