Leven packaging plant opened in 1973 and is a highly efficient and flexible packaging operation, which can respond quickly to changing demands and opportunities.
Leven packages over 48 million cases of spirits per year), and employs a workforce of around 1,100 people, including around 800 Diageo staff, plus contractors working full time on site, with an additional 100 temporary staff at peak times.
Leven exports to: Western Europe, North America, Russia & Eastern Europe, Global Travel & Middle East, North Asia, Southeast Asia, PUB (Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil), Australasia and West LAC (Latin Caribbean).
About the role
You will work as part of the Risk team and wider governance team, supporting the risk manager with risk responsibilities. This will include deputizing for the Risk manager when required.
Main Accountabilities
You will Provide support in the areas of Risk management, including:
- Business Continuity
- Incident and Crisis Management
- Business Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plans
- Emergency Planning
- Global risk management standards (GRMS) audits
- GAR Audits
- Security / Site Assurance
Sole / Individual Accountabilities include:
- Creation and maintenance of all the documentation stored in the system.
- Engage with process document owners to ensure all BMS documentation reviews are conducted on time and updated within the BMS system.
- Run weekly status reports and act accordingly ensuring that all documentation held in the system is up to date and has a correct owner(s) /approver(s).
- Review status of audits on a daily basis & report through the tiered meetings process.
- Attend monthly Business Integrity meetings & provide an update on current performance.
- Produce, review and update site process design assessments.
- Engage with key stakeholders to ensure progress of the CARM year is communicated.
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience in a similar role or identified transferrable skills.
- Broad-based knowledge of risk issues impacting Diageo.
- Understanding of relevant UK Health, Safety, Environmental, HMRC and Food safety legislation.
