Automotive Risk Management Executive – Reading – Hybrid Working
Salary: Basic £45,000 plus 15% bonus
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm, with the option of flexible and agile working policies.
Our client is seeking someone to join their already successful motor trade team working within a busy main dealer. You need to be a team player, able to work to deadlines and have the ability to use your own initiative.
Risk Management Executive Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Head of Finance as a subject matter expert in Risk Management systems.
- Supporting first-line management with their responsibilities
- Establish a process of identifying, categorising and analysing risks in-line with company guidelines, to enable visibility to management in order to aid the development of a transparent risk culture
- Act as a subject matter expert in all areas of Risk Management
- Co-ordinate and administer the control processes, documentation and IT systems as part of the strategy
- Leading the development and maintenance of the systems, assisting risk and control owners, ensuring follow-up measures are implemented and making changes as and where required
- Perform periodic tests as required and co-ordinate the completion of any follow up actions
- Support management with eh design and implementation of new/evolving control measures
- Maintain process improvements to optimise controls and compliance with existing policies
- Prepare and deliver training sessions to include knowledge and awareness of risks
- Maintaining the implementation and review of company directives and will be responsible for overseeing these.
- On an ad-hoc basis, assist with day-to-day compliance activities
- Engaging in risk and compliance monitoring activities
- Support the Head of Finance in maintaining a culture of positive Risk Management and Compliance
The Ideal Risk Management Executive:
- Proven experience within a Risk Management and/or Compliance role
- Good understanding of Risk Management processes
- Knowledge/understanding of regulatory bodies relevant to the financial services industry
- Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering and mitigation of risk in a high value retail environment
- Exposure to strong controls and compliance environments
- Experience in developing and implementing business processes
- A track record of performing under pressure in a fast paced retail environment
- Knowledge/understanding of the motor industry and applicable regulatory environment
- Highly analytical, able to learn and manage complexity
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in business operations, along with regulatory exposure
You must be able to produce high quality work in a busy motor trade environment and be motivated through set targets, showing flexibility according to the needs of your team.
