Staff Nurse - RMN
Days/Nights Shift : Fulltime 37.55 hours a week ( Permanent )
Salary: 34,900 - £37,227 per annum
LOCATIONS: Cheadle SK8
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our dynamic team. The RMN will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care and support to patients with mental health disorders in our Private Hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs, including risk assessments and care planning.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring that they are evidence-based and tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Monitor patients' mental health status, observing for any changes or signs of deterioration, and intervene appropriately to prevent escalation.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and support to patients and their families, promoting a supportive and empowering environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing interventions, assessments, and observations in patient records.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and clinical supervision sessions to review patient progress and contribute to care planning.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures relating to mental health nursing practice, safeguarding, and health and safety.
- Engage in continuous professional development activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills, staying abreast of latest evidence-based practices and innovations in mental health care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Previous experience working in mental health nursing, preferably within a hospital or acute care setting
- Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and autonomously when required
