Are you a talented and experienced professional in the freight forwarding industry? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Road Freight Operator to join an international forwarder who are continuing to expand on their first ventures into a UK office.

With a focus on export, road operations, customs, and 3PL services across Europe and Baltic regions, our client is expanding and looking for a skilled individual to join their new venture.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Road Freight operations within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
• Proficient in handling export shipments and ensuring compliance with customs regulations, ideally covering the European and Baltic regions.
• Excellent knowledge of transportation routes, cost optimization, and transit time reduction strategies.
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with clients, carriers, and suppliers.
• Proactive problem-solving ability to address transportation challenges and ensure smooth freight flow.
• Detail-oriented approach to maintain accurate shipping documentation and records.
• Familiarity with freight management software and transportation tracking systems.
• Exceptional customer service skills to provide timely updates and address client inquiries effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and coordinating Road Freight operations for primarily export shipments, covering European and Baltic services,
• Handling a diverse range of cargo types, from general goods to specialized freight.
• Strategically planning and optimizing transportation routes to minimize costs.
• Building strong and positive relationships with clients, carriers, and suppliers, fostering effective communication.
• Proactively identifying and resolving transportation challenges.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
• Utilizing in-house freight management software and transportation systems to track shipments and monitor performance metrics.
• Delivering exceptional customer service, promptly addressing inquiries, and providing regular status updates to clients.
