This is an exciting opportunity to join Renfrewshire Council. We are expanding our Assets & Infrastructure team and need enthusiastic people with the skills and experience to deliver our ambitious agenda to provide maximum economic benefit for Renfrewshire.
You will have a passion for providing high quality services to the public and for making improvements across Renfrewshire.
You will be responsible for co-ordinating works and events on the Road Network across Renfrewshire. You will manage and maintain the Scottish Road Works Register to ensure that we comply with our Statutory Obligations under the New Road and Street Works Act 1991, the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 and the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005.
You will have experience of roads statutory functions, experience of management of Health and Safety, including CDM Regulations 2015 and knowledge of legislation and experience of monitoring contractors’ performance on site.
You must have effective organisational, presentation, time management skills and written and verbal communication skills, and be able to develop and sustain relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
Influencing and negotiation skills is essential as well ability to manage risk and be accountable for decisions taken and ability to manage a diverse workload and meet deadlines.
A relevant professional qualification in Roads, or equivalent is essential.
Current full driving licence is desirable.
