JobPurpose:

  • Co-ordinate the effective day to day delivery of Roads and Winter Maintenance activities within available resources.
  • Manage operatives and resources in the delivery of frontline Roads and Winter Maintenance activities.
  • Act as the primary local point of contact for Members and communities within a defined geographical area.
  • Participate in all aspects of Roads and Winter Maintenance.

  • Possession of Driving Licence for LGV, Category C and C+E
  • Knowledge/Experience of Roads and Winter Maintenance operations and works.
  • Experience in organising and planning activities to meet deadlines and respond to and identify changes in priorities.
  • Practical or Technical Knowledge, normally acquired through a professional qualification, for example ONC/HNC/HND or through relevant working experience in a Roads/Construction activity.
  • Ability to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service..
