North Ayrshire Council are looking for a Roadworker to join our Isle of Arran based Roads team. Working from the Lamlash depot the team undertake a full range of road maintenance works using small plant and tools. We operate an emergency call out rota and provide a Winter Maintenance Service. This will require the applicant to work outwith standard hours on a rota basis for which appropriate overtime and standby payments will be made. Standard working hours are 37 per week fixed 0800 – 1600 Monday to Thursday and 0800 – 1530 Friday This is a physically demanding role undertaken outside all year and in all weather conditions. Applicants must have a flexible attitude, excellent team working skills, a willingness to undertake a variety of duties safely and effectively and hold a full Class C or CE licence. Ideally applicants would also have road maintenance (or similar experience) and hold a valid HAUC (Streetworks) Operative card and NPORS (or equivalent) registration for a variety of small plant and tools.
