Currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Senior Robotics Engineer to join an established automation for a company specialising in the production of ultrasonic slicing systems and robotic applications.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in robot software design and implementation within special purpose machinery / Automation.
- Confidently design and implement software for some or all aspects of capital machinery assemblies and sub-assemblies from the ground up for use in the food industry in line with company standards and current legislation.
- Performing software design calculations where required; speed calcs, motor sizing, control equipment required to facilitate the application.
- Determining and implementing test criteria for automation productivity, safety, and reliability.
- Working with high and low voltage equipment.
- Technical support and troubleshooting system errors for customers.
- Attend customer sites across the UK and internationally for machine installation & commissioning purposes, where required.
- Work in accordance with the project quotation and client's requirements.
- Liaising with suppliers in the specification of components and their operation.
- Report to the project manager regarding the scope and detail required.
- Being proactive and using your engineering skills to best effect for the company.
- Maintain accurate records of all work completed and planning successful outcomes within agreed timescales and costs.
- Liaise with clients to promote our work and capabilities.
- Working with our sales team and liaising with external customers to assist with the preparation of quotations when required, including concept support and programming components for test rigs and trials.
- Prepare technical documentation including producing machinery manuals and the technical file.
- Knowledge of safety standards would be an advantage.
- Hold a valid driving licence and passport.
