Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Plymouth, PL6 5DW
Working Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday (8:00AM to 5:00PM)
This is an exciting opportunity for a Roofer's mate to successfully deliver the day-to-day repairs service, to the MOD you will provide front line delivery to the MOD family's, assisting the carrying out of technical service tasks at the highest quality. Working with a Roofer you will assist with carrying out repairs to a variety of building services, including minor roofing works, building work and grounds work.
Provided with your own work van, you will undertake both planned and reactive maintenance both independently and with a team.
As part of this role, you will also need experience in plastering, as you will be tasked with undertaking plastering works when needed. You will u ndertake patch plastering works, tiling, floor laying, decorating and replacing of internal and external doors.
As part of this role you will:

• Be involved with refurbishment, planned and reactive maintenance.
• Work with minimal supervision and have the ability to make decisions on the most appropriate repair solution.
• Complete and finalise projects to a high standard and have the ability to self-snag works on completion
• Installs Gutters downpipes, roof works, felting works and minor groundworks to work at heights, undertaking pointing
• Cut openings in structure to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, using hand and power tools
• Attend team briefs, Toolbox talks and technical bulletins on a monthly bases or as when required.
• Utilise both electronic and paper-based systems to accurately record documentation including the use of materials against each job.
• Be flexible and willing to work shift patterns to cover the appointments

What you'll need to do this role:
Previous experience in roofing works
Previous experience in plastering works
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work in all weathers
Ability to use hand tools
A full UK Driving License
