As a Root Cause Analyst you will be responsible for the analysis of emerging trends to support continuous improvement for the customer journey and best business practice. You will have responsibility for triaging RCA cases in order to determine and prioritise which require further investigation. Produce timelines and gather information from multiple sources and analyse the data, to establish all possible Root Causes as well as areas of improvement and/or gaps in process, working with and taking direction from the Continuous Improvement Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for producing timelines of the history of an account including customer journey mapping
- Undertaking thorough investigation into cases referred to RCA to establish the Root Cause and work with business owners to implement fixes to enhance the customer experience
- Undertaking monthly complaint sampling, reviewing high volumes of complex complaint cases to establish themes and trends from customer dissatisfaction
- Run successful projects utilising the DMAIC methodology to implement suitable solutions across the business
- Responsible for carrying out "5 Why Analysis" and applying six sigma principles
- Responsible for the timescales of recording of accounts which have been sent for RCA
- Identifying risk issues that impact the business
- Assisting with the completion of management information for monthly reporting
- Identifying ownership of solutions identified from RCA
- Management of the RCA inbox and input from the business is kept up to date
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with the business and other RCA colleagues
- Work effectively as part of the team to support colleagues in the achievement of department objectives
- Work with other colleagues to improve companywide RCA knowledge
- Run monthly bubble-board sessions to champions across all customer facing teams
- To carry out any other ad-hoc duties as requested by the Continuous Improvement Manager
We are looking for someone with:
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma yellow belt or equivalent (desirable)
- Confident with facilitating meetings with senior stakeholders across all areas of the business
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to self-manage workloads and prioritise
- Good excel skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- A desire to learn and progress actively seeking to expand knowledge and understanding
