Job description

Are you looking for a new challenge to expand your portfolio with the opportunity to work in different clinical areas, want more responsibility but not yet ready to specialise? Come and join us to expand your current knowledge and experience to rotate through varied clinical areas and specialities dependent on your preferences. Examples of areas will include medical wards, surgical wards including pre-operative clinics, trauma & orthopaedics, mental health, aseptic services and primary care.
We are committed to providing the best learning and supportive experience for post foundation level pharmacists and believe this is an ideal stepping stone towards specialist/advanced practice. Our post will enable you to expand your knowledge and expertise and broaden your clinical and non-clinical skills. You will have support and mentorship from experienced advanced pharmacists and team leaders in a variety of clinical areas. You will be supported to develop your independent prescribing role. We have good links with local universities which provide research and development opportunities.
Our Clinical Pharmacists provide a high quality, patient-centred service ensuring safe and effective use of medicines across the integrated health community. As a rotational pharmacist working in various multi disciplinary teams, you will have an integral role in providing high quality pharmacy services to inpatients, outpatient and the community of North West Wales.
We aim to achieve the best outcomes for our patients through delivery of excellence in pharmaceutical care and medicine optimisation.
We recognise that our profession's future leadership will come from pharmacists like you with drive and ability. Your professionalism, excellent inter-personal skills and enthusiasm, will equip you to be a valued contributor to our service and to be a key member of our clinical pharmacy team. Our ambition is to deliver high quality care and embed continuous improvement.
We are currently on a journey of redesigning our pharmacy services to the integrated health community. The imminent implementation of electronic prescribing and medication administration system is on the horizon. Be a part of our highly motivated, friendly team and share in our values of caring for people and keeping them well by influencing the future direction of pharmacy services.
There will be opportunities to develop education and training skills as you will participate in the clinical training and supervision of pharmacy team members, as well as medical and nursing colleagues. See Job Description for further details
