What it's like to work here:You’ll support the Trust’s Landscape Recovery Scheme bid which is being co-designed with our tenants and adjoining landowners. You’ll be involved in drafting appropriate tenancy agreements, grazing licences and implementation/collaboration agreements. As a key point of contact between the Trust and our tenants, you would also become involved with wider Estate Management / Rural Surveying work. As part of a supportive and friendly team who are passionate about what they do, you’ll draw upon the significant expertise of Trust colleagues in nature, ecology, land use and farming, as well as cultural heritage, and archaeology. The role is an opportunity to make a difference in the stunning Yorkshire Dales, utilising skills in Rural Surveying while developing a specialisation in Sustainable Land Management, tenancies and licences.
What you'll be doing:Building upon the relationships we have with our tenants you will provide insightful advice, considerate relationship management and initiating forward thinking approaches to managing and conserving our land and buildings. You will be involved in delivering a range of work, including management of agricultural tenancies and agri-environment schemes, woodland management, access rights and boundary disputes and occasional acquisitions and disposals. Whilst working with our structured governance framework, we need you to be an effective and convincing champion of best practice.
