About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for Safe Neighbourhoods Assistant to join our new Safe Neighbourhoods and Support Service on a full-time, permanent basis, based at our Bower House Office in Oldham. We offer Hybrid working, blending working from the office 2 days per week, and 3 days from home.
You will provide support to the wider Safe Neighbourhoods and Support service. This specialist team manages all complex Anti-Social Behaviour cases, Legal, fraud, domestic abuse, safeguarding and support needs to help our customers have a safe secure home. This role includes the allocations of cases, as well as managing the initial contact with customers who report noise nuisance cases. You will also provide administrative duties such as raising purchase orders for the team.
You will be highly organised, with excellent customer service skills and able to work in a fast paced environment. You will work closely with a team of skilled Officers who are both office based and in the field.
The successful candidate needs excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that sensitive cases are allocated in a timely manner across the service
- Noise nuisance cases are triaged, and customers are contacted on a regular basis
- The ability to learn new systems
- Able to work methodically and prioritise cases based on the need and demand
- Provide administrative support to the wider team
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communications.
- Good ability to learn new systems.
- Experience of administrative systems and procedures
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours
Desirable:
- An understanding of social housing
