About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Safe Neighbourhood Manager to join our newly established Safe Neighbourhoods and Support Service on a full-time, permanent basis in our Greater Manchester office as your base location. This is a new role at Guinness and the successful candidate will have to opportunity to shape and develop the team to help build a successful, in the field ASB service.

You will manage a team of Safe Neighbourhood Officers geographically dispersed across the North of our regions (Yorkshire through to Greater Manchester). You will work closely with a wider, supportive Management Team to deliver a high quality, customer focused service.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing your expertise for complex and challenging ASB cases, you will lead this team to:

  • Effectively investigate Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) cases in hotspot areas
  • Be proactive and pursue preventative measures establishing strong working relationships with key agencies and stakeholders to tackle ASB
  • Use data to ensure resources are used in the best possible way
  • Be able to represent at Court for ASB, fraud and tenancy breaches
  • Provide strong mediation skills to resolve disputes
  • Ensure our customers can live safely in their homes and communities

Essential skills and experience

  • Experience of leading, performance managing, motivating and inspire teams in a high-performance culture and work well under pressure
  • Significant experience of Anti-Social-Behaviour case Management across dispersed geographic locations and building external stakeholder relationships
  • Experience of managing and prioritising resources effectively to meet demand.
  • Experience of managing and coaching performance and getting the best out of individuals and teams.
  • Experience of dealing with customers sensitively in challenging situations.
  • Ability to analyse data and draw conclusions to improve performance.
  • Ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to plan and work effectively without high levels of supervision.
  • Have excellent communication skills

Desirable:

  • Experience delivering targeted ASB prevention projects.
  • Experience of working in the housing or property sector.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory legislation for social housing
