Safeguarding Caseworker

The vacancy DN Colleges Group are seeking to appoint a Safeguarding Case Worker for Students and Apprentices. This role will be based predominantly at North Lindsey College in Scunthorpe but there may be a need to work across campuses. The successful candidate will need to hold a degree-level qualification or equivalent, be willing to work towards or have significant recent experience of working in an educational setting or within a similar/relevant position to provide appropriate advice and support to students, apprentices and staff in relation to Safeguarding, Prevent and Child Protection. You will also need experience of writing and maintaining accurate records in relation to Child Protection, Safeguarding and Prevent concerns in line with relevant legislation, guidance and policy/procedure and working within a multi-agency arena. This will involve working successfully with multidisciplinary teams, taking the role of Lead Practitioner and completing Early Help Assessments/Team Around the Family meetings and Child Protection conferences and to have managed complex referrals to external agencies. As part of the recruitment process and in-line with keeping children safe in education we will conduct social media checks on candidates that are shortlisted.  About us North Lindsey College has been a key training provider in Scunthorpe for over 60 years, helping thousands of people throughout the years to go on to achieve their dreams.
