Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Communities Administration & Project Officer to join our Safer Communities Team. 

The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of a core team to support the management, development and co-ordination of the Safer Communities working arrangements, providing appropriate support, advice, and guidance to ensure the effective operation of work streams including the Safer Together Partnership and associated engagement programmes and to ensure the statutory requirements of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 are met.

It is essential that the successful candidate has experience of working in an administrative role and of providing project support. They must have experience of word processing and updating spreadsheets and databases and knowledge of data protection.  Ideally the candidate should have experience of handling sensitive and confidential information.  They should be educated to GCSE, RSA, NVQ level 2 or equivalent, including English and Maths or able to demonstrate an equivalent level or have substantial experience of working in a similar role and be able to demonstrate their skills and knowledge gained.

Working 37 hours per week the successful candidate must be flexible, as some element of evening and weekend working may be required.
