Due to continued growth, Island Echo is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and digital-savvy professional to join us as a Sales Executive, on either a part time or full time basis, to become an integral part of our growing team.
Based from our offices in Ryde, you will be responsible for selling and managing display advertising, features and advertorials on the Island’s leading news website, as well as developing the growth of our business directory and family announcement sections.
We’re looking for someone who has a passion for sales and customer service with a proven track record, preferably within the media industry (but we will consider applicants from all sectors).
The role is based on 18-24 hours per week across 3 days (part time), with a salary dependent on experience. However, we invite applications from those seeking a full time position too (up to 37.5 hours). Both the part time and full time roles can be flexible to the successful applicant’s circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establishing new business relationships through outbound contact
• Maintaining strong working relationships with existing clients
• Handling inbound sales enquiries
• Meeting and exceeding Key Performance Indicators
• Identifying new opportunities as well as developing packages around these
• Attending local business events as a company representative
We are looking for someone who…

• has excellent verbal and written communication skills
• has the ability to flourish in a competitive marketplace
• has a good attention to detail
• has full UK driving licence and own vehicle (car or motorcycle) (mileage will be compensated)
