Reed Business support are currently recruiting for a Sales Executive based in Reading.
Working hours: Monday- Friday, 9am-5:30pm – in the office full time.
The role:
As Sales Executive, you will play an influential and largely autonomous role in growing our commercial and independent sales channels. As part of this growth plan, you will be expected to prospect, mine, quote and convert sales opportunities in these two focus areas. Additionally, working as part of the wider sales and sales operations team, you will proactively support the sales order process and maintain efficient and effective communication with all relevant stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
• Represent the brand as a high-end luxury product
• Development of commercial sales channel
• Manage existing and develop new independent Sales Accounts
• Build relationships with customers analysing their needs, and identifying opportunities
• Negotiate sales contracts and pricing in accordance with published price lists
• Establishing a strategy to find new prospects and sales leads
• Proposing promotions
• Coordinate efficient sales order processing
• Ensure the availability of stock for sales and samples, offering alternatives when required
• Analyse B2B credit requests
• Keep tax and export documentation up to date
• Champion sustainability to deliver environmental best practices
• Work closely with and proactively support the wider sales team
• Effective relationship management with our distribution centre
Key skills:
• Two years of sales experience desirable
• Advanced Excel skills (v-lookup and pivot tables)
• Team player with end-to-end SME business process experience
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques
• Fast learner and passion for sales
• Fastidious attention to detail
• Critical thinking, with the ability to draw conclusions from raw data
• Communication skills - translate and present findings into understandable documents
• Ability to identify gaps and implement process improvement initiatives
• UK resident, UK/EU passport holder or able to work in the UK under a permit Reed Company Confidential
