Job description

The E-commerce Sales Account Manager plays a pivotal role in our dynamic team, focusing on the growth and retention of clients within our thriving E-commerce sector.

Your primary responsibility will be to strategically engage with clients acquired by our New Business team, nurturing them into repeat bookers.

You'll collaborate closely with the E-commerce client services team, ensuring a seamless transition for ongoing account management. By reducing one-time bookers and working alongside the new business team, directed by the Director of Commercial, you'll actively contribute to minimising churn and maximising revenue for Leafletdrop.

This position will allow you to embark on an exciting journey as our E-commerce Sales Account Manager, leveraging your expertise in the SME marketplace and outstanding customer service to promote Leafletdrop.

Your role extends beyond sales, guiding customers to place repeat bookings and maximising revenue and margin for the business.

In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the growth and success of our Leafletdrop platform. Your core responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Cultivating repeat bookings by engaging with lapsed and current clients.
  • Collaborating with e-commerce sales for optimal service.
  • Supporting new business efforts for client base expansion.
  • Creating compelling and relevant copy with marketing and the Director of Commercial for repeat bookings.
  • Conducting weekly outreach to at least 50 contacts.
  • Researching and building relationships within the selected target companies to learn more about the decision-making process an how they evaluate the success of the campaigns.
  • Effectively handling objections and negotiating within agreed parameters.
  • Identifying opportunities for growing high-potential clients.
  • Utilising HubSpot daily for logging and extracting information.
  • Ensure margins are appropriate to maximise profitability and to compete effectively in the marketplace.
  • Demonstrate excellent product knowledge of Leafletdrop and as well as Whistl core offerings.
  • Be able to discuss Whistl's capabilities clearly and concisely internally and externally.
  • Providing online demonstrations, representing Whistl professionally.

Business Development Responsibilities

  • Delivering exceptional customer service, acting as a key point of contact for identified customers.
  • Keeping abreast of industry issues to communicate with clients effectively.
  • Interpreting and discussing client briefs, arranging and leading Teams meetings and managing client concerns.
  • Taking the lead in preparing agendas and minutes for client meetings.
  • Responding promptly to support emails or queries within the SLA.
  • Managing your workload efficiently to meet SLAs for responding to client needs.

Additional Information

This E-commerce Sales Account Manager role requires the ability to work extra hours at short notice and a willingness to travel for customer visits.

Hybrid working opportunities are available, all initial training will be conducted on-site.


Essential Criteria: E-commerce Sales Account Manager
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in B2B selling; ideally in selling to SMEs.
  • A self-motivated person who can work independently towards a team goal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Proactive in problem-solving
  • Excellent team player
  • Self-starter with a drive to perform to a consistently high standard
  • Consistent positive outlook and ability to handle rejections.
  • Customer-focused - strives to deliver high standards of customer service personally and through a team of people
  • Persuasive and adequately robust in pursuit of sales, with the ability to close the sale.
  • IT literate -MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)

Desirable Skills

Working knowledge of the Leafletdrop system.
