Job Description/Overview
We are looking for a Sales/Account Manager who will look after and manage a base of existing Customer Accounts with the aim of developing them further to maximise spend potential.
There will be a regular feed of new leads to develop into buying customers.
There will be a monthly GP target and you will be responsible for:
- Primary contact for a baseline of clients exclusive to them:
- Providing quotations
- Processing and handling orders
- Procurement and sourcing of requested products and stock
- Deal closing
- Proactive development of customers:
- Following up on and closing quotations
- Ensuring the continued success of the Customer base by keeping in regular contact with them and understanding their individual needs and requirements
- Recognise and create new opportunities
- Wider team role and responsibility:
- Part of a wider sales team with a collaborative and Company target
- Assist with Customers from other Sales/Account bases in order to accelerate training/experience and share knowledge
- To ensure sales targets are met by regular assessment of individual performance versus KPI, as well as identifying Customer buying performances versus expectations
Skills and Experience Required
- IT hardware, technical understanding of IT networking solutions is paramount
- Understanding of the IT distribution channel is paramount
- Experience of quoting IT networking solutions/hardware is paramount
- Experience of direct sales in the IT industry
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient on the telephone
