Our Sales Advisors are focussed on driving and supporting sales in branch as well as demonstrating great customer service. You'll be the face (and voice!) of the business, often the first point of contact a customer has with us. You'll chat with many customers throughout the day, both on the phone and in branch, helping them find the materials they need for their projects and converting these into orders as well as building trust and lasting relationships with regular and new customers.
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm, every 2nd Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm
Location: 58 Craigentinny Ave N, Edinburgh EH6 7LJ
Required Skills and Experience:
A passion for delivering great customer service
A strong communicator, face to face and on the phone
A degree of IT literacy
Experience working within a Builders Merchant would be extremely beneficial, but we are happy to provide training on product knowledge
Key Responsibilities of a Sales Advisor:
Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects, getting to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions
Offer first class customer care to all customers ensuring we understand their projects and can offer the best products
Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, launching and introducing new promotions, to make a great first impression on our customers
Speaking with customers on a daily basis, face to face, over the phone and via email, keeping them up to date regarding their orders
Use our in-house systems to update and process customer orders and payments
Support the branch team to deliver success and suggest opportunities for continuous improvement
Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
