Job Title: Sales & Estimating Manager
Location: Exeter
Hours: Full Time 08.30am-5.00pm Monday-Friday, flexibility on hours can be offered to right candidate
Salary: £45,000-£55,000 per annum DOE

The Company: Established nearly 25 years ago, this highly reputable engineering company have seen fantastic growth recently and are now looking to welcome their newest member on board. They are an independent, family run company who are highly regarded in the South West and further afield.
The Role: We are delighted to once again be working with our client to help fill this new and exciting position, which reports to the Managing Director.
As the Sales & Estimating Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the design and Estimating process of our client's engineering projects through managing the existing and highly successful design and estimation team.
You will confidently manage all sales enquiries, regularly dealing with clients, build relationships, and liaise with customers, providing them with timely updates. You will oversee the implementation of new systems and processes, all the while collaborating and managing the small design and estimation team, plus interacting with the wider business to.
Working on a variety of projects, you will help with the operations and provide innovative solutions that exceed client expectations. Your expertise and leadership will contribute to the continuing success of the business's projects.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Develop conceptional refrigeration and food industry construction solutions on behalf of the customer and use the teams experience to develop drawings and estimates
- Log and respond promptly to all inbound sales enquiries
- Implement new systems and streamline the existing processes to improve on enquiry response times
- Obtain concise and detailed information from sales enquiries to ensure accurate estimates and job requirements
- Produce professional estimates and presentations
- Drive the Design and Estimation team, constantly ensuring an efficient service
The Candidate:
- Previous estimation experience within engineering (mechanical / electrical / refrigeration / plumbing / fabrication)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to articulate an accurate interpretation of customer brief
- Ability to delegate tasks to fulfil the design and estimation of customer briefs
- Structured, methodical and organised
- Computer literate including competency using spread sheets, and ability to read CAD drawings
- CAD experience beneficial but not essential as CAD expertise already within the team
- Lead by example to create a positive and motivated team environment
- Knowledge of health & safety
- The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines
- The ability to plan ahead, co-ordinate and prioritise workloads
- A friendly disposition!
