An exciting opportunity has come up to join our sales & events team on a full-time basis. About the role
We are looking for a Sales and Events Assistant to join our growing team.
- Responding to and logging all enquiries for weddings, by phone, email and online booking system
- Conducting follow-up calls and emails for all wedding enquiries, to a professional standard.
- Conducting viewings of the venue for future wedding couples.
- Converting viewings into bookings to achieve bonus goals.
- Managing provisional and confirmed bookings, creating wedding schedules and answering queries leading up to the event day.
- Conducting planning meetings with couples to plan their special day.
- Coordinating weddings and Events to the highest standard, including on-the-day coordination until after the ceremony.
- Creating and maintaining a steady stream of social media posts to raise awareness of Wellington Barn and what we offer.
- Managing maintenance bookings and cleaning schedules for our onsite accommodation.
- Coordinating between suppliers and colleagues to ensure the setup and delivery of the wedding and event meets company standards and exceeds the couple’s expectations.
About you
- A friendly, approachable, can do manner and a willingness to work as part of a team is a must
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with couples from the first point of contact.
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Confident in a customer-facing environment
- The ability to multi-task and manage your time and workload effectively, especially during the busy months
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with own initiative
- Passionate about weddings and dedicated to ensuring that all of our wedding couples and families have the most memorable and special day.
- Excellent literacy and IT skills
- Genuine enthusiasm for weddings and Events.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
