The business has also invested in a digital transformation programme, which has included improved website functionality and performance. In addition, Bluestone has engaged a specialist agency to support the development of an innovative and coordinated advertising campaign, through multi-channel media, including prime TV advertising.

Job Description

This is a key strategic role with full accountability for delivering growth in accommodation Sales and supporting delivery of secondary spend revenues. The post holder will come from a strong commercial background with experience of directing intergrated digital marketing and sales functions; including developing, implementing, and managing the marketing and PR strategies through multi- channel campaigns, maintaining a consistent corporate image and ensuring that the brand is well communicated.

The individual will have an in-depth understanding of sales management and business marketing tools, with a talent for developing and conducting sales campaigns as well as devising innovative and effective marketing and promotional plans. Delivering an awareness of all marketing activities, aiming to drive awareness to sales- ranging from digital, print, media and social media.

The role will also oversee the co-ordination of external agencies, ensuring effectiveness and appropriate ROI is achieved. In addition, this person will be responsible for preparing reports and presentations to update senior leadership with sales progress, analyse key performance metrics and provide market research forecasts, competitor analysis, campaign results and consumer trends. This person must form sound relationships with the senior leadership teams and provide inspiration to the Sales and Marketing team.
 

The Successful Applicant

Experience and qualifications

Extensive experience, 10 years plus, at senior leadership level in Sales and Marketing, ideally from a multi-site or high-volume hospitality, retail, travel, or leisure background.

Proven success across product development, rate setting, promotional activity, and brand expansion.

Fully au fait with multi-channel marketing and ability to demonstrate ROI. You will have a well-rounded understanding of digital marketing and customer acquisition.

Proven track record in managing external agencies. Ensuring campaign investment is delivering commercial results.

Commercial business acumen and solid understanding of P&L and demonstrable track record of driving Sales and growth opportunities through people.

Experience and clear grasp of commercial and financial aspects of the business and ability to contribute to overall strategic planning.

Person Specification

Passionate about the sustainable leisure and hospitality industry and the family holiday market.

Full understanding of brand proposition and ability to translate it into marketing communications and campaigns.

Demonstrable commercial acumen and ability to translate business goals into sales targets and drive revenue across the business and across online platforms.

Able to lead and motivate the team to thrive in a high performance and pressured environment.

Excellent organisational skills: personal efficiency, time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.

Exemplary communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Good emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and ability to build relationships and collaborate with others.

As a senior member of the team, act as a positive role model on the values, initiatives, and culture of the business.

A broad business thinker who is capable of understanding and contributing to the wider business at a high level.

Can demonstrate personal learning and character growth from challenges inside and outside of work.

Be located in Pembrokeshire or be able to relocate to Pembrokeshire.
