Sales and Marketing Manager

Salary: £38,000 + bonus plan

Location: Apex & Athenaeum , Bury St Edmund

Holiday: 28 days pro rata including bank holidays per annum

Days of work: Monday – Friday

Hours: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

We are currently seeking a seasoned Sales and Marketing Manager to oversee and drive Sales and Marketing initiatives across our prestigious venues, The Apex and The Athenaeum, located in Bury St. Edmunds.

The role:

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for devising and implementing comprehensive Sales and Marketing plans, driving revenue growth, and ensuring exceptional client experiences at our venues. You will oversee both the Sales and Marketing departments, fostering collaboration and innovation to achieve our business objectives.

Duties:

Sales:

  • Lead the sales team in achieving targeted sales levels for Seasoned Venues at our contract sites.
  • Manage the sales managers within various venue units and on-site sales teams.
  • Execute the Sales and Marketing plan for all venues in collaboration with the Managing Partner.
  • Handle incoming enquiries efficiently to meet annual sales targets.
  • Utilise effective sales techniques to secure client confirmations and drive conversions.
  • Maintain regular contact with past clients to enhance conversion rates.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales pitches and presentations.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales activities and performance against targets.

Marketing:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and attract new clients.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to refine positioning and pricing strategies.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients within the corporate office sector.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of bids and tenders, aligning with client requirements.
  • collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless event execution and delivery.
  • Utilise digital marketing channels and tools to drive engagement and generate leads.
  • Maintain accurate records of marketing activities and measure the effectiveness of campaigns.Key Account Management:
  • Identify and maintain database of all clients for both venues
  • Effectively communicate with key clients via telephone, face to face and written communication to identify full potential for future sales.
  • Develop strategies to maximise the potential of key client accounts.

Product Knowledge:

  • Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of all services available within both venues.
  • Stay informed about competitor products and market trends to inform Sales and Marketing strategies.

Business Development:

  • Identify, target, and cultivate relationships with potential clients within the corporate office sector/venues.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue growth targets.
  • Utilise market research and industry insights to identify emerging opportunities and trends.

Administration:

  • Provide timely and accurate reports on Sales and Marketing achievements and activities.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and correspondence.
  • Plan and manage diaries effectively to optimise productivity.

General:

  • Maintain high standard of personal presentation.
  • Undertake all responsibilities with reference to Seasoned procedures.
  • Ensure safe working area and work procedures in line with Company's.
  • Health and Safety Policy.
  • Obtain necessary authority for expenses and record in line with Company Policy.
  • Undertake any reasonable duties as specified by line manager.
