The Opportunity:
You will join one of Europe’s leading PCB manufacturer in the heart of beautiful Devon. If you are either an experienced Field Sales Engineer OR Account Manager within the PCB industry (or similar), then this could be the perfect role for you. This position will involve working partly in their office in Crediton, and hybrid working is also possible after training. You will be required to visit customers, predominently in the southern half of the UK.
The Role:
- Using your Engineering knowledge and Sales techniques to contact customers identified as sales leads, accessing those who can make buying decisions.
- Identify customer requirements through careful questioning, checking for understanding and summarising their buying needs and interests.
- Explore any queries or objections raised by the customer and identify any reasons holding the customer back from agreeing the sale.
- Identify and prioritise any concerns, and provide evidence to the customer of the strengths of your organisation and its products/services relevant to addressing concerns.
- Agree future contact arrangements, including post-sales calls to confirm customer satisfaction where relevant.
- Identify your customers’ current and future needs and expectations and predict future demand levels.
- Use information about customers and the market to help make decisions.
- Establish and implement strategy for the improvement and awareness of customer issues across all relevant areas of the Company.
- Liase with and provide assistance, where required, with internal sales team in respect of customer requirements.
- Actively participate in customer visits and the promotion of the Company and of the products manufactured therein.
- Fulfil all relevant legal, regulatory and ethical requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Preferably 2+ years of experience in a field sales role, ideally in an engineering environment.
