OBM are currently recruiting for a Sales Executive on behalf of our oil and gas service provider client based in Aberdeen.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager - Specialist Services, this role will entail working within our specialist services areas of Aviation, Freight Management, Marine, Ships Agency and Recruitment Solutions. The Sales Executive's duties involve generating leads, making sales calls, visiting clients, and constantly updating our CRM database. As our ideal candidate, you will be a motivated self-starter, able to drive sales growth and be effective in managing and finalising opportunities utilising a sales pipeline.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Gather market and customer insight to understand the needs of your business customers
- Negotiate terms of sales and agreements and closing deals with customers
- Build good working relationships within the various sectors
- Challenge any objections with a view to successfully closing the deal
- Advise on forthcoming project development and discuss solution based selling
- Provide customers with detailed and accurate quotations and cost calculations
- Create detailed proposal documents as part of the formal bidding procedure
- Maintain and develop relationships via telephone, email, virtually and face to face
- Cold call to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
- Respond to incoming email and phone enquiries
- Demonstrate and present unique service propositions in a structured professional way
- Manage and effectively update sales pipeline through each sales cycle
- Attend exhibitions/shows, conferences and meetings as required and share best practice with colleagues

Desirable Qualifications/Competencies
- HND/HNC Business/Marketing or related field
- Experience and knowledge in a Marine, Logistics or Aviation background desirable
- Working knowledge in the Oil & Gas, Renewables or Energy Industry
- Experience working within a sales related role
