Location: Essex with national travel
Salary: 50,000 - 60,000 + car + commission
Summary:
An experienced Sales Manager with a good knowledge of UK and European road freight operations and contract logistics is required to join the Essex based team of this well-established global logistics company. You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, fostering client relationships and enhancing the company's market presence as well as managing a small internal sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Identify and target new clients.
- Prepare and present proposals to potential clients.
- Negotiate contract terms.
- Monitor and track sales performance using relevant metrics and analytics.
- Represent the company at industry events, tradeshows and conferences.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Proven track record of successful business development and sales experience within the road transport and logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of contract logistics operations, processes, and industry best practice.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficient in the use of CRM systems and MS office
- Able to lead, and develop a small team.
