About The Role
The Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in steering the sales team towards achieving exceptional customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. This role demands a strategic leader adept at building and nurturing high-performing teams, forging strong client relationships, and driving sales excellence. Leading a small sized sales team the Sales Manager will drive sales across the UK and ensure the alignment of sales strategies with the Commercial Director’s growth targets.
Within this role you will:
- Lead, coach, develop and mentor the current sales team, expanding this team when required to ensure allpay achieves its sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Work with the Head of Business Development to deliver the sales strategy and ensure this is constantly adapted to meet the customer needs and market demands within our sectors.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
- Build on continuous improvements within the team, focusing on innovation and a customer centric approach.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure coherent sales strategies, brand messaging and customer satisfaction.
- Lead negotiations, close sales deals, and participate in major customer presentations.
- Monitor sales metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) to identify areas for improvement.
About You
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Extensive proven experience in a sales management role, preferably within the financial payments or SaaS industry.
- Ideally a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or a related field.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving sales growth.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, motivate and drive a sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Whilst not essential a deep understanding of the payments / social housing / SaaS markets, with the ability to adapt to changing environments would be ideal.
- Comfortable with extensive travel across the whole of the UK and globally if required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools.
