Internal Sales Office Manager with experience in heavy side building materials / civils required for a leading independent builders / civils merchants at their branch in West Bromwich. Salary up to £50,000, (dependent upon experience), plus bonuses.

What's the opportunity?
Working closely with your Branch Manager and Area Directors, as Sales Office Manager your role is to continually improve the profitable sales and margins within the branch, as well as developing a highly customer focused, results driven team.
Managing a team of 4 Internal Salespeople, our client is looking for a truly dynamic Sales Manager who excels at building and developing strong and profitable commercial relationships.
Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead the sales strategy to achieve financial targets and KPIs
- Manage key stakeholders and suppliers
- Have a strong understanding of pricing, rebate terms, and the construction supply sector
- Have knowledge of project tracking and construction build process
- Produce high-quality and accurate reports in a fast-paced sales environment
- Manage and motivate yourself as well as part of a team
- Drive the sales of the company's range of construction products to contractors
- Maintain and develop long-term customer relationships
Key Requirements:
- Proven business development experience within the industry (essential)
- Successful sales management experience and in-depth knowledge and understanding of the role of an effective sales function and best practices within a busy branch
- Strong business, commercial and financial acumen - supported by a pragmatic approach and not afraid to get into the detail when required
- Demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to articulate the corporate vision and translate this into effective strategic and operational plans, gaining clear agreement from stakeholders by influencing, convincing, persuading and negotiating
- Strong IT skills, especially with Excel spreadsheet
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Excellent Presentation Skills - both formal and informal
- Ability to use own initiative as well as perform as part of a team
- Full valid driver's licence
