The role of Sales Representative:

£28,000 - £33,000 plus bonus, hybrid company car, laptop, iPad, mobile, fuel card and 22 days holiday

Home based, you will be calling on a customer base of over 150 retail customers in an area that covers Lancashire, Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales. The key challenges are:

• Create a journey plan that maximises customer contact time.
• Build strong relationships with owners, buyers and sales assistants in all stores.
• Identify and activate opportunities for sales growth with all customers.
• Adapt your approach according to your territory targets.
• Demonstrate skills in range selling, merchandising, sales presentations and negotiation.
• Provide first class customer service and follow up.
• Report regularly to the National Sales Manager. Communicate regularly with your team.

The person for this Sales Representative opportunity:

This is a fast-paced, fun, customer-facing field sales role that requires excellent territory and time management skills to stay on top of the workload.

Previous field sales experience calling on retail customers is preferred but not essential as full training is provided.

The profile we are looking for includes:

• Living in Manchester, Chesire or Merseyside
• Previous field or retail sales experience - ideally dealing with independent retailers.
• Retail or field sales experience in the garden centre trade would be ideal.
• Excellent communication skills, sociable personality, good sense of humour
• Well planned and organised. Highly self motivated and able to work from home.
• Hard working. Calls per day can range from 5 to 10 during business months.
