Cooper Lomaz are working with renowned manufacturers of electronic, industrial equipment, and software, serving diverse industries including agriculture, logistics, and waste management. They are on the lookout for a dynamic Sales Representative with a background in engineering or agriculture to accelerate our business growth.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Field Sales: Primarily office-based with extensive travel throughout the UK, including nights away for customer visits and trade shows.
- Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers across various sectors, including farm owners, staff, haulage owners, and drivers.
- Site Surveys: Conduct thorough site surveys, capturing essential data and documenting photos and measurements for customer files.
- Technical Consultation: Collaborate with colleagues to understand technical requirements, ensuring accurate information delivery to customers.
- Quotation & Order Management: Prepare detailed customer quotations, incorporating standard pricing and personalised costings, and follow up to secure orders.
- Exhibitions & Marketing: Organise, administer, set up, and attend exhibitions. Provide input for social media, website content, and other company literature. Coordinate advertising with trade publications.
- Customer Liaison: Facilitate seamless communication between internal teams and customers, ensuring smooth order processing and delivery.
Candidate Requirements:
- Sales Focus: Targeting new product sales of medium to high-value capital equipment, emphasising one-time purchases with long-lasting utility.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to grasp technical specifications and product capabilities, encompassing mechanical, electronic, and software components.
- Industry Insight: Preferably from an agricultural background with a deep understanding of UK farming practices, especially arable. However, candidates from other relevant sectors will also be considered.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in updating details on company systems.
- Organisational Skills: Well-organised with excellent communication abilities and a customer-centric approach.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work extra hours as required to meet business demands.
- Driving License: Possession of a valid UK driving license is mandatory.
