The Opportunity

As a Salesforce Technical Support Engineer within the Software Support division, your role will involve direct engagement with customers, third parties, and internal teams to provide assistance with our client's products and custom solutions developed on the Salesforce platform. You will be responsible for handling support tickets escalated from Level 1 support, identifying root causes, making necessary adjustments, and analysing Customer Requests.

Your Roles and Responsibilities

Your duties will include designing, building, deploying, configuring, and integrating the appropriate combination of Salesforce platform functionality and supporting technologies, such as CRM, GIS, and Document Management. Effective communication with the customer at all stages of the ticket lifecycle will be a crucial aspect of your role.

• Resolve support tickets promptly or delegate appropriately.
• Coordinate proactive maintenance for their systems with the team.
• Coach team members and create needed training materials.
• Adjust system configurations based on customer requirements.
• Develop well-documented project documentation and templates.
• Analyse customer feedback for process and product improvements.
• Sustain Salesforce platform functionality with integrations.
• Design intuitive solutions, ensuring consistency across products.
• Translate acceptance criteria into user-centric technical solutions.
• Ensure code quality meets company standards.
• Collaborate on designing and estimating efforts for new features.
• Stay updated on industry trends for enhanced performance and security.
• Interpret technical documents to understand client needs.
• Maintain qualifications in Salesforce development.

Your Skills and Experience

• Commercial software development experience, ideally with the Salesforce platform.
• Knowledge of the Salesforce platform (Apex, LWC, Aura, VF) and experience with configuring cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis and/or migration.
• Understand application architecture principles and possess design experience.
• Good grasp of concepts like data models, security models, and workflows.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks based on web components.
• Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, Javascript, CSS).
• Knowledge of API and integration development with HTTP, REST, and JSON.
• Hands-on experience in using ticketing systems (Salesforce Case/Jira/Trello) and key workflows for support tickets.
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals.
