SCADA Engineer (UK & Ireland)

How will you make a difference?
As a SCADA Engineer you will be responsible for providing both onsite and technical support and implementing SCADA and PARK IT related solutions to our local field operations in UK and Ireland with the overall aim to support us to deliver increased data availability on our turbines.
Whilst no two days are the same, your key responsibilities will revolve around:
- Trouble shooting - you’ll be the person expected to respond to SCADA and PARK IT related issues by trouble shooting our IT equipment on site and remotely to analyse and implement action plans to increase our data availability.
- Analytical & Trouble-Shooting Skills – you’ll have demonstrable ability to understand and analyse data and create/export reports
- Organisation and Planning – you’re highly organised and have experience of managing projects from beginning to end
- System savvy - You will have SCADA, Park IT and NC2 knowledge, SAP and Microsoft Office.
Bonus points if you have worked with Sharepoint, SQL databases and in a health & safety environment
To succeed you will have the following:
- Communication – liaise with individuals in various types of roles regarding the implementation of your findings, action plans and general advice and support on SCADA and Park IT related queries.
- Ability to work at heights – If you’re scared of heights this role is not for you as we would require you to be able to work in our wind turbines, plus you will need to have the ability to climb.
- Previous experience in Wind Industry technician role
- You don't mind travelling to different sites frequently for work - the role would be supporting all our windfarms across the UK and Ireland.
Education
- Level 4 Wind Turbine Technician
- Preferable to have Electrical and IT qualification
- Computer and software handling experience
- Preferable to have Database handling qualification
