About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join a new team at HL, as a Scenario Testing Execution and Design Specialist. You will report into the Scenario Testing Lead and will be accountable for the end-to-end process of preparing, designing, and executing scenario tests in line with the Scenario Testing Plan. This includes conducting post exercise reviews, ongoing monitoring to inform scenarios and ensuring that action owners are held accountable for the delivery of timely actions.

What you'll be doing

• Support the Scenario Testing Lead in the delivery of HLs Multiyear Scenario Testing plan, through the design and execution of severe but plausible scenario tests in adherence with the Scenario Testing Library and Plan.
• Lead stakeholders across the business through the design phase of Scenario Testing, which includes Operational Resilience scenarios, Business Continuity testing and Gold/Board Team Testing.
• Ensure that scenario tests are designed and executed in line with the Scenario Testing standards, processes and regulatory requirements.
• Support the team during live incidents through capturing high quality minutes, decisions, assumptions and actions.
• Conduct thorough post exercise reviews to ensure that lessons learned are captured and actions are agreed with appropriate stakeholders and delivered within deadlines.
• Improve and embed the Operational Resilience programme across the organisation through stakeholder engagement.
• Ability and experience to deputise for Scenario Testing Lead where required.

About you

• Scenario testing experience, preferably within a Financial Services environment.
• Ability to design a scenario test from scratch.
• Able to simplify complex information to suit different audiences.
• Good stakeholder management skills, able to network and influence effectively.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage deadline-oriented work and work well under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical, analytical thinking and pragmatic problem solving.
• Effective communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Good organisational, analytical and research skills.

Interview process

This will be a two-stage interview process, consisting of a technical competency based interview and an assessment task.

Working Schedule

This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a flexible working pattern.
