Scheme Manager

The role is to support and assist independent living as much as possible for older people in retirement housing. The role involves providing an enhanced housing management service, facilities management and working alongside internal and external partnerships. You will lead the management and implementation of your action plan to deliver improved customer service.

Role: Scheme Manager
Location: Southampton - time will be shared across 2 locations
Salary: 26,651 - increasing in April - Plus benefits.
Hours: 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Deliver Enhanced Housing Management service to residents, focusing on residents maintaining independence and managing their tenancy.
* Carry out quarterly welfare checks and ensure system has correct and up to date information
* Hold regular meetings with residents to improve customer satisfaction and communication
* Deliver effective facilities management by completing regular health and safety checks and managing contractors
* Monitor rent accounts weekly and take appropriate action when necessary
Skills and Experience required:
* Passes in GSCE core subjects (or equivalent)
* Keen attention to detail
* Strong planning and organisational skills
* Effective and clear communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships
* Demonst management skills
* Ability to write reports and support plans
* Confident in using IT, including Microsoft Office, Excel
* Confident problem solver, decision maker and able to prioritise conflicting demands
* Must have full, clean driving license and access to own vehicle
Desirable skills and experience
* A level/BTEC Level 3/NVQ Level 3
* Experience working within a caring role and/or with older people
* Experience in dealing with low level rent arrears and anti-social behaviour
* Facilities management experience
* Experience of working with statutory agencies
* Awareness of Dementia
