School Administrator
V-Recruit are excited to be working in partnership with one of the UKs most forward thinking, recognised and respected Multi-Academy Trusts to recruit a School Cover Team Administration Assistant for one of their Secondary academies, based in Worksop, Nottinghamshire
This is a temp to perm vacancy.
Required from as soon as possible.
35 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
11.50 per hour, plus holiday pay after the first 12 weeks.
Working hours are 7am/7.30am-2pm/2.30pm with 30 minutes lunch per day.
If you were offered the permanent role, with the school, the starting salary would be as follows:
Grade Pay/Full time equivalent: 23,500 - 23,893
Actual starting salary at 40 weeks per year: 19,198
You will be based in the Cover department and will be responsible for organising cover for all absent staff. These absences will be on both a planned and reactive basis.
- You will be required to monitor absence calls to the absence line, and record absent staff appropriately and share with the HR team.
- Liaise with supply agencies to arrange suitable cover for short and long term absences, including administering the recruitment process.
- Ensuring there are no gaps in the timetable, or uncovered lessons.
- Ensuring the most suitably qualified/experienced staff are covering a given lesson.
- Authorise and complete timesheets for agency staff, ensuring the internal finance system is updated accordingly.
- Recording any feedback from the school and pass over to the agency.
- Ensure cover and absence related forms are readily available for staff, and completed forms are processed correctly.
- Dealing with cover related queries in a timely, efficient manner
- Liaise with Cover Supervisors regarding any changes of arrangements and updates.
The chosen candidate will be personable, confident, and professional and take pride in all aspects of their work. This will be a fast paced, varied role which would suit someone with a strong administrative background. Ideally some experience within an educational setting would be advantageous, but full training will be given to the chosen candidate.
