Highly Reputable Special Needs School is recruiting a skilled School Assistant Site Manager to join the team on a temp to perm basis, however for the right person would be a straight permanent post. This is to start ASAP / After your potential notice period.
As a School Assistant Site Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Site Manager and Facilities Manager in maintaining and managing the school premises, ensuring that all facilities are operational and that the school is a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day management of the school premises.
- Ensure that all facilities are operational, including heating, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the school premises, ensuring that they are kept to a high standard.
- Assist with the management of all operational facilities, including the school's grounds and buildings.
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to, and that the school is a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
- Support the Site Manager in managing contractors and service providers, ensuring that they deliver a high-quality service.
- Monitor and maintain the security of the school premises, including access control and CCTV systems.
- Assist with the management of the school budget, ensuring that all expenditure is within budgetary constraints.
- Liaise with staff, pupils, parents, and visitors, providing a friendly and professional service.
Key Requirements:
- Previous / current experience as a School Assistant Site Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of operational facilities and school premises.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and requirements.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours when required.
- A commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
