We are seeking a reliable and dedicated School Caretaker to join our friendly primary school community in Brent, London. Starting immediately, the ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the security of the school premises, including opening and closing the school, and monitoring access during school hours.
- Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs to school facilities and equipment.
- Conduct routine health and safety checks, ensuring compliance with school policies and regulations.
- Manage and supervise cleaning staff, ensuring all areas of the school are clean and well-maintained.
- Maintain school grounds, including gardening and basic landscaping tasks.
- Set up and take down equipment for school events and activities.
- Monitor and manage stock levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or urgent maintenance issues that arise during the school day.

Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS check (essential).
- Previous experience in a caretaker or maintenance role, preferably within a school or similar environment.
- Strong practical skills in general maintenance and minor repairs.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
