School Caretaker

The Educate Group are seeking to employ a School Caretaker in the SY10 area to work on a temporary basis supporting a number of schools on an ad hoc basis.

Its essential that you have some DIY skills and are competent using a range of tools, adhering to health and safety procedures. Along with a small team of cleaners you will have responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the site.

Some out of hours commitment may be required to cover social events held at the school or to deal with any emergencies on site, these additional hours will be paid at the agreed hourly rate.

Responsibilities of a School Caretaker:

• Maintain the school building and surrounding grounds.
• Complete ad hoc tasks, such as painting and minor repairs.
• Open the school at the start of the school day and lock up th at the end of the day, ensuring that all staff have left the site safely
• Arrange for tradesman to attend and repair any electrical/plumbing faults
• Manage a small team of cleaners to ensure that high standards are met
