School Caretaker Location:Gateshead (NE8) Hours: Full-time or Part-time (School is flexible on hours) Are you a dedicated individual looking for an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of a school environment? A school in Gateshead are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join their team ASAP - ongoing. The school is flexible on hours and willing to accommodate the right candidate's schedule. Preferred Hours: Part-time Option 1: 20 hours per week - 2pm to 6pm every afternoon. Part-time Option 2: 20 hours per week - 7:30am to 11:30am every morning. Full-time Option 1: Split shift (mornings and afternoons to be arranged). Full-time Option 2: 9am to 5pm.Responsibilities: Ensuring the school premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Opening and closing the school buildings as required. Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance tasks. Overseeing security procedures and monitoring access to the premises. Assisting with setting up for events and activities as needed. Performing routine inspections to identify any health and safety hazards. Responding promptly to any emergencies or incidents on the premises.Requirements: Previous experience in a caretaking or facilities management role preferred but not essential. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently. Flexibility to work varying hours based on the school's needs.
