Tradewind is currently seeking a motivated and experienced School Site Supervisor / Caretaker to join our team at a local Primary School in Hull. This role offers regular hours and ideal for someone who can readily access the school premises for opening and closing duties. The position will involve a mix of split shifts ensuring the smooth running of the site. Ideal hours are 7:30-9:30am then 2:30-4:30pm Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general maintenance, cleaning, and security services for the School
- Ensure the safety and security of the premises, students, and staff.
- Perform routine checks and inspections of the site, promptly reporting any issues.
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
- Oversee and maintain an accurate log of all checks and activities using the Trust's electronic reporting system.
- Assist with setting up and clearing away equipment for school events and activities.
- Cooperate and coordinate with other staff members to ensure a well-maintained and safe environment.
- Uphold the school's policies and procedures regarding health and safety.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a School Site Supervisor or caretaker role is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules and respond to emergency situations if required.
- An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance is mandatory for this position.
- Two professional references will be required.
