Dialogue School Counselling is an established, BACP accredited school counselling service covering Brighton and Hove, East and West Sussex and Surrey. We are currently looking for a qualified counsellor with experience of working secondary school age students to join our team and help deliver the school counselling service at The College of Richard Collyer in Horsham.

You will work closely with the key contact at the College to continue the provision of a high quality, ethical counselling service to the students. This will include undertaking assessments with parents, agreeing a regular session schedule with the school and completing all associated admin in a timely manner. You will be required to attend regular clinical supervision and line management meetings.

This role is based on site at the school and your working pattern is to be discussed at interview

You’ll have a keen interest in working with children and will be familiar with using creative therapeutic approaches. You’ll have a professional, flexible attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage your time well. You’ll be confident in identifying and responding to safeguarding concerns and have experience of working in a school setting. You will have a Registration or Accreditation with BACP, or equivalent professional body such as HCPC, UKCP, and 2 years’ post qualifying experience in individual counselling or therapy with young people. This will include working with risk issues. You will also have a sound understanding of child protection and vulnerable adult safeguarding issues, policies and procedures.
