Job Title: School Finance Lead with Administrative Duties
Location: Oak Tree School, Truro
Salary: £23,858.89 per annum
Hours: 42.5 per week; Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Are you organised and meticulous? A great communicator? Oak Tree School is recruiting for a School Finance Lead with Administrative Duties to join our friendly team.
About the role
To be the main contact for the school for all matters regarding finance and to provide an administrative function and clerical support to the whole school. To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of pupils and young people within the school at all times. The post holder will be expected to work on his/her own initiative and as part of a small team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the school's annual budget in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgetary goals
- Provide recommendations for budget adjustments as needed
- To provide a professional and confidential administrative service for the school including word processing of correspondence, reports and publications
- To undertake all tasks relating to finance includes petty cash, credit cards and processing invoices
- To support in maintaining accurate attendance records and process data
- To assist in the production of reports and statistical information
- To maintain pupil records appropriately ensuring confidentiality with such records
- To attend team meetings as requested

Essential
- Relevant Financial experience
- Good practical knowledge and experience of working in an office environment
- Practical experience of telephone network systems, word processing programmes, & other related computers
- Attainment of GCSE qualifications or equivalent (level 2 standard of education) to include Maths and English

Oak Tree School is a specialist provision positioned near the city of Truro in Cornwall. The school provides full-time specialist co-education for up to 83 pupils and young people aged 7 to 16 who experience social, emotional, mental health, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviours. These pupils and young people often cannot cope, function or achieve within a mainstream environment. The aim is to provide a structured, nurturing approach, with pupils accessing a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum to meet their significant needs.
