Salary: Pay Range L24 – 28 (£83,081.00 - £91,633.00 Annually)
Hours: Full time, permanent
Location: Marcus House, Parkhall Road, Stoke-on-Trent, ST35XA, and visits to schools within the Trust
About this Role
Manor Hall Academy Trust principles are based on a collaborative educational model and is currently comprised of 16 special schools and PRUs. We are seeking to appoint a School Improvement Officer who will be responsible for: -
- Improving academy educational standards and effectiveness Supporting and challenging in all areas of educational improvement.
The successful applicant will be directly accountable to the Executive School Improvement Officer, and will be responsible for supporting accelerated plans for improvement for schools that have been identified as requiring improvement.
What does the role involve?
The successful applicant will need to be able to work with distinction in both strategic and operational work streams, have a proven record of being creative and solution focused and have the emotional resilience to lead staff by example in a challenging and dynamic environment.
Some of your key duties will include:
To Monitor the performance of academies; agree challenging and meaningful targets for improved outcomes by supporting the development and implementation of robust self-evaluation and academy improvement plans/strategies.
Ensure that the necessary actions needed to bring about improvement are implemented quickly and effectively, and that such actions have the required impact.
What we are looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status At least 5 years’ experience supporting schools requiring improvement at an operational and strategic level Experience of working as a senior leader within a SEND School Improvement environment Experience of managing difficult conversations on a regular basis Excellent communication skills at all levels and with different stakeholders
