At Thomas Wolsey Ormiston Academy we are looking for a conscientious person to join our office team.

Visitors to Thomas Wolsey Ormiston Academy often comment on the welcome to, and family feel of, our school. The hub of that welcome is the office.

Are you friendly and welcoming to all visitors, while maintaining safeguarding procedures and in the midst of a very busy environment? Do you have boundless energy and patience?

Are you organised, yet flexible enough to meet changing priorities?

Can you be calm and kind in emergency situations?

Are you a team player who can also lead and show initiative?

Do you have experience of working in a busy office environment?

There are core office duties – reception, resources, school dinners, uniform, attendance, registers along with many other daily duties which all office staff perform. Each team member is then responsible for a specialist area.

We are looking for someone to assist with organising and managing the many student and volunteer placements in school and to manage reprographics for the class based staff.

Being able to multi-task and prioritise your workload alongside working on a busy reception is an essential quality required for this role.

You are required to have good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of SIMS and working in a School Office would be an advantage but is not essential.
