Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum
As a School Office Manager at our Redbridge-based primary school, you will be a crucial part of the front-of-house administration team. Your responsibilities will include handling phone inquiries, overseeing visitor sign-ins and outs, providing support for school events, and efficiently managing various administrative functions.
School Office Manager Key Responsibilities:
Office Management:
- Manage day-to-day office operations, including meeting coordination, diary management, and providing support to the Head Teacher.
- Assist with the smooth running of the reception area.
- Handle data management, health and safety protocols, and maintenance of the school website.
- Supervise and lead the administration team, conducting appraisals and performance management.
- Ensure continuous training and development for administrative staff.
- Coordinate with onsite staff employed via shared services (e.g., facilities management).
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, prioritizing tasks for the Principal.
- Attend meetings, document actions, and prepare minutes.
- Liaise with other departments, external suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Manage financial processes in collaboration with the Head of Finance (Academies) and the shared service finance team.
- Oversee lettings of school facilities.
- Collate quotes and contracts as needed.
- Previous experience in a School Office role preferred.
- Familiarity with school systems (e.g., SIMS).
- Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Resilient and enthusiastic, thriving in an alternate provision environment.
